A Travellerspoint blog

Ready, set, go!

all seasons in one day 3 °C

In less than twelve hours, Red Car will pick us up to take us to the Toronto airport. The temperature is currently 3C, with much lower temperatures expected overnight. The predicted high in Singapore for Sunday and Monday, when we'll be touring, is 33C. We'd like to be warmer than we are now, but that may be overdoing it a bit.

Air Canada cheerfully lists the overall flight time as 23 hours 55 minutes, including the four hours or so between planes in Hong Kong. I'm not looking forward to such a long flight, but it is the price one has to pay for going on an adventure like this. We board the cruise ship (Celebrity's Millennium) Sunday afternoon and start back home from Hong Kong on Sunday, March 16th.

Internet fees are high on board the ship, but this is, after all, a real adventure, so I'll try to give updates in a timely fashion - some pictures, too, I hope.
